Welcome to Bear Lake's 21st Century Classroom!
Thank you for visiting the Bear Lake's Tech Lab page! My name is Mrs. Wallace and I am the technology instructor at Bear Lake. I am a lifelong teacher and student-my passion has always been to learn as much as I can and utilize technology in creative ways in the classroom! In my classroom, all students are exposed to project-based, blended learning Technology and Science lessons that use current tools for presentation, collaboration, programming, and digital design.
This site will provide general information on Bear Lake's technology programs, classroom procedures and information regarding the activities and expectations for the lab.

Contact Mrs. WallaceScience SkillsIn the Tech Lab, Science skills are regularly integrated into the technology curriculum. Students increase their knowledge in concepts such as the water cycle and weathering and erosion as indicated by the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. After a concept has been learned it is further reinforced through technology activities such as animation creation, building of movies, and collaborative computer-based projects, to name a few. Students' computer literacy skills are further developed through the implementation of these projects which increases confidence and better prepares them for the future
ResearchBeginning in the first grade, students are taught valuable online research skills. Prior to completing computer projects, students are exposed to research methods that help them locate information using the world wide web. They learn about plagiarism, evaluating websites for authenticity and applicability, smart searching techniques, and copyright rules and guidelines. These crucial skills help students to find information they need quickly and efficiently, a necessary tool for tomorrow's leaders.
